"Moonlight over Paris"
(photo from travelblog.org)
I have ever since liked this song, maybe because of its melody. But come to analyze its lyrics, it doesn’t seem to convey a solid message, but listening to it is so relaxing. It makes me reflect on few points literally, especially the chorus:
Does the moonlight shine on Paris after the sun goes down… Paris, with its magnificent Eiffel Tower, is like an impossible place to see for every ordinary person, especially if you’re from a non-European country. It’s like a perfect place, which can only be seen in glossy magazines and travels shows. Listening to the song makes me conquer the distance and imagine the place as just like any place on earth where there will be a moon at night; and at the same time anticipate to see the place in the near future and personally witness the moonlight on top of the Eiffel Tower.
If the London Bridge is falling, will anybody hear a sound… Paris is a city in Europe, where people are pictured as very busy people, doing their own thing, and going on their own direction and so will they make an effort to know what is happening around them if something like this happen? If you follow the sunset, will it ever end... This has been my favorite line in the song ever since; whenever I hear this line, I’ll always wonder will it ever end nga kaya??? I am hoping that someday I can have a chance of traveling to different countries following the sun.
Oh, does the moonlight shine on Paris, la lalala lala… :)

traveling...
TRAVELLING DIFFERENTLY
Avoid museums . If you are in a foreign city, isn't it far more interesting to go in search of the present thatn the past?
Hang-out in bars. Not in discos, but in places where ordinary people go.
Be open. Go out into the street, choose the person you want to talk to, 'til you found yourself an excellent companion.
Try to travel alone or with your spouse. Traveling with a group is a way of being in a foreign country while speaking your mother tongue, doing whatever the leader of the flock tells your to do.
Don't compare. Don't compare anything - prices, standards of hygiene, quality of life, means of transport, nothing!
Understand that everyone understands you . Even if you don't speak the language, don't be afraid. Some people think that if they travel alone, they will set off down the street and lost for ever.
Don't buy too much .
Don't try to see the world in a month . It is far better to stay in the city for 4 or 5 days than to visit 5 cities in a week.
A journey is an adventure . ... wander the streets, explore alleyways, experience the freedom of looking for something - quite what you don't know, but which,if your find it, will, you can be sure, change your life.
