"Moonlight over Paris"

(photo from travelblog.org)

I have ever since liked this song, maybe because of its melody. But come to analyze its lyrics, it doesn’t seem to convey a solid message, but listening to it is so relaxing. It makes me reflect on few points literally, especially the chorus:

Does the moonlight shine on Paris after the sun goes down… Paris, with its magnificent Eiffel Tower, is like an impossible place to see for every ordinary person, especially if you’re from a non-European country. It’s like a perfect place, which can only be seen in glossy magazines and travels shows. Listening to the song makes me conquer the distance and imagine the place as just like any place on earth where there will be a moon at night; and at the same time anticipate to see the place in the near future and personally witness the moonlight on top of the Eiffel Tower.

If the London Bridge is falling, will anybody hear a sound… Paris is a city in Europe, where people are pictured as very busy people, doing their own thing, and going on their own direction and so will they make an effort to know what is happening around them if something like this happen?

If you follow the sunset, will it ever end... This has been my favorite line in the song ever since; whenever I hear this line, I’ll always wonder will it ever end nga kaya??? I am hoping that someday I can have a chance of traveling to different countries following the sun.

Oh, does the moonlight shine on Paris, la lalala lala… :)
